Frank Hungerford

Many of my coincidences relate to people I've met while working at Apple, which goes to show what a crossroads it is for people of the world.

I offered to help a man shopping at the Palo Alto Apple Store, back in 2018, I think. When he produced his credit card, it said his name was "Frank Hungerford." I immediately asked, "Are you related to Clark Hungerford, by any chance?"

"He's my Dad," said Frank. "Why do you ask?"

"Well, I was down in Claremont, CA in 1962, before I got married, and I needed to buy a car, and get it insured. Clark Hungerford was my future father-in-law's insurance agent, so he recommended him to me," I said.

Frank went on to tell me of this great senior community where he was living in Claremont, a place called "Mt. San Antonio Gardens." As it turns out, my wife and I had been shopping for such a place around where we lived in Los Altos, and weren't happy with the local selection. So when I shared Frank's revelations with my wife later on at home, she looked the place up on the web (she was born and raised in Claremont) and we got excited about it as a prospect. So we visited the place early in 2019, stayed overnight, dined at the dining room, and really liked what we saw.

One thing led to another, and now we live in Mt. San Antonio Gardens, and Frank and his wife Jeanne are good friends of ours. Small world?
